The later life lending report, which focuses on the borrowing habits of those aged 55 and over, was conducted by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr) and is now in its fourth year. While previous reports have shown a steady increase in borrowing among this demographic, the impact of Covid-19 means that those aged 55 and over are now expected to borrow £19bn less in 2020 and 2021 compared to 2019.
